MALI’S CIVACTS: REBUILDING TRUST, EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES

AL Mali is addressing the root causes of mistrust between citizens and the government in Gao, Mopti, Ménaka, Ansongo, and Timbuktu. Tackling issues like security, justice access, unemployment, and civic engagement, CivActs conducts surveys and public meetings. With 6,242 people surveyed, 400,000 reached via radio, and 6,000 through social media, the initiative engages communities. Through workshops and watch committees, the program reaches a broad audience, training 60 young leaders and transcribing results into 6 languages, fostering dialogue and understanding for effective governance.
